Auxin-Specific Applicator Training - March 10

Wed, 09 Mar 2022 08:44:29 CST

Auxin-Specific Applicator Training - March 10 Auxin-Specific Applicator Training is coming up on March 10 at 9am.

** This training is offered for in person or virtual participation. **

In late 2020, The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted a 5-year renewal to three dicamba herbicide labels (Engenia, Tavium and Xtendimax) with updates to the application requirements for each product. These dicamba products continue to be Restricted Use Pesticides (RUP) in addition to being State Limited Use (SLU) and require auxin specific applicator training annually, prior to use, by certified applicators only.

In addition, 2,4-D Choline formulations (Enlist Duo® and Enlist One™) for use on Enlist cotton, also continue to be included in these mandatory annual Auxin trainings. These 2,4-D herbicides are SLU pesticides, and they can be sold to and used by certified applicators or those working under the supervision of a certified applicator.

This training will include important information pertaining to specific auxinic products, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and TDA websites, and a summary of the application requirements for use of these products. This training is not a substitution for completing the certified applicator training. Always read and follow the pesticide label and website restrictions and requirements.

If, after the training, EPA revises, cancellations, or renewals of labeled product, it is the applicator's responsibility to understand those label requirements, even if not covered in the current training. It is critically important that you provide a workable email address so we can communicate revised label changes after the training.

A certification of course completion will be emailed to the registrants after the training. If you do not receive the certificate, please contact Dena Graves (dgraves@ag.tamu.edu).
How to Virtually Access the Training

To immediately receive the instructions to access the training, please pay via credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover). Instructions to access the training will not be emailed until payment is received.
Upon completion of registration and payment, you will receive an email from agriliferegister@tamu.edu. Scroll to the end of the Registration Confirmation for the instructions on how to access the training.

**These instructions will not appear if payment was not received.**
