New SHIP Program Protects International Trade
Wed, 09 Mar 2022 08:58:30 CST
The Swine Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) is a partially Checkoff-funded pilot program developed and facilitated by a congress of industry professionals, including producers. It is built on a foundation of biosecurity, traceability, sampling and testing using tools like AgView and Secure Pork Supply Plan.
The objective of SHIP is to develop and implement an African Swine Fever (ASF)-Classical Swine Fever (CSF) Monitored Certification Program. This certification demonstrates evidence of disease freedom to resume international trade during the response and recovery period of a foreign animal disease outbreak. You must have an AgView account to be certified in SHIP
