Fourth Generation Oklahoman Luke Holland Says He is the Man to Replace Jim Inhofe

Mon, 21 Mar 2022 13:16:51 CDT

Fourth Generation Oklahoman Luke Holland Says He is the Man to Replace Jim Inhofe Since the news of Republican Senator Jim Inhofe s impending retirement, several candidates have expressed interest in taking over that senate seat.

Former Inhofe Chief of Staff Republican Luke Holland is a fourth-generation Oklahoman who has decided it's time to make a run for the seat. Holland wishes to replace the retiring Senator who will wrap up his term in 2023 with a special election.

Currently, Holland is one of four Republicans who has expressed an interest in Inhofe's seat. Holland said working with Jim Inhofe has been very rewarding, "it's been an honor of a lifetime to serve Oklahoma and deliver powerful results."

Holland said he and Inhofe had had many conversations in the past few years about how far the country has moved to the Left. He believes it has been going the wrong direction, "They want to kick God out of everything, they want to kick parents out of schools, they don't have any respect for rural Oklahoma, and they don't love our freedoms," Holland said when the Senator said he was going to retire, he knew he wanted to continue the mission that they have been working on for so long. Holland said his goal is the restoration of our freedom and our Christian values, "I think those are the things that make American the greatest country on earth and we do such a great job of advancing and advocating for those things here in Oklahoma and we need to export those values to the rest of the country."

Senator Jim Inhofe has endorsed Holland, and Holland says that endorsement is the honor of a lifetime, "He's just done such an incredible job advocating for Oklahoma and everything we need. Whether it's protecting our military bases, there's hardly a highway you can drive down that doesn't have his fingerprint. He's done a phenomenal job of keeping the true north, the true north, while at the same time delivering results for Oklahoma."

Holland knows he has big shoes to fill and that this is a big job. Still, he says his priorities will be focused on 1) Rebuilding our Military, 2) Prioritizing Rural Oklahoma, and 3) Being a bold witness for the values we cherish in Oklahoma. Holland says if we are going to find unity as a country, we have to get back to the basics, "We have to cherish everything that the Lord has given us. Whether loving our neighbor or protecting the unborn, all these things need champions in Washington, and that's what I want to do."

Holland said WOTUS (Waters of the US) had been a disaster for farmers because everything has to be regulated by the EPA, "anytime you have to deal with the government you have to ask so many people for permission, and it slows everything down, and you may get to a point where they say you can't do it, even if it's your land, and that's not freedom. " Holland adds that no one cares more for the land than the farmers and ranchers, "and we don't need the EPA to tell us how to do it."

Holland knows this campaign will not be an easy road, but he says that sets him apart because he knows the issues and knows how to get things done, "I know what Oklahoma Wants, and I know how to get it done. I have a positive vision about how we can bring unity to the American people but at the same time focus on keeping our true north in mind. Not allowing the socialist Left to get any more ground and fight to get everything back in the direction it needs to go. I think I am the guy who can get it done because I've been getting it done behind the scenes."
