Oklahoma Youth Wins big in Showmanship at National Limousin Showmanship Contest

Winning the showmanship contest at the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress is one of the highlights of any junior member's career. Four age divisions of members from the North American Limousin Junior Association competed in the National Limousin Showmanship Contest on Monday, June 27, 2022. The contest was held during the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress, June 25 -June 30, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas. Jason Barber, Aledo, Texas and Justin Barber, from Channing, Texas served as the judges for the contest.
The top ten showpersons from each age division were selected.
In the novice division, ages five to nine, Champion Showman was D'Lelah Laber Hillsboro, Ohio. Rounding out the top twn included: Reserve Champion Showman, Kynlee Mae Thomas, Wolfforth, Texas; third, Paislee Mae King, Fort Worth, Texas; fourth, Ty Freed, Fairbury, Ill.; fifth, Bre Engler, Carbondale, Kan.; sixth, Brock Freed, Fairbury, Ill.; seventh, Aleah Byers, Jonesborough, Tenn.; eighth, Peyton Schmalshof, Avon, Ill.; ninth, Connor London, Sycamore, Pa.; tenth, Payton Lewis, Anderson, Mo.
The junior division consists of members ages ten to 13. Champion Showman was Kelton Arthur, Stillwater, Okla,; Reserve Champion Showman, Colt Parkinson, Levelland, Texas; third, Bentley London, Collinsville, Texas; fourth: Corbin Robbins, Chattanooga, Okla.; fifth, Harper Simpson, Trent, Texas; sixth, Kinley Collum, Guthrie, OKla.; seventh, Rylan Bare, Culver, Ore.; eighth, Alex Cunningham, Gray, Tenn.; ninth, Clair Sennett, Waynetown, Ind.; tenth, Calin, Kinder, Piedmont, Okla.
Ben Spencer, Gibbon, Neb., was the Grand Champion Intermediate Showman, an age division consisting of youth ages 14 to 16. Rounding out the top ten included: Reserve Champion Showman, Tyla Thomas, Sterling, Colo.; third, Tucker Parkinson, Levelland, Texas; fourth, Cole Keeton, Wolfforth, Texas; fifth, Chloe Hazel, Beresford, S.D.; sixth, Kyle Linhart, Leon, Iowa; seventh, Boone Begert, Allison, Texas; eighth, Allyson Runnels, Hondo, Texas; ninth, Tayhlor Elmore, Hominy, Okla.; tenth: Garrett Trivette, Jonesborough, Tenn.
In the final division, members ranging in age from 17 to 21, Grand Champion Senior Showman went to Rylee Stockdale, Dayton, Pa. Rounding out the top ten were: Reserve Champion Showman, Riley Smith, Macomb, Ill.; third, Karly Payne, Sharpsburg, Md.; fourth: Ryleigh Morris, Ash Grove, Mo.; fifth, Colton Barton, Jarrell, Texas; sixth, McKenna Richardson, Eureka, Kan.; seventh, Ashlyn Ochsner, Kersey, Colo.; eighth, Kaylee White, Mitchell, S.D.; ninth, Sam Callahan, Centerview, Mo.; tenth: Wiley Fanta, Starbuck, MN.
