Ron Hays and Ethan Lane of NCBA Talking COVID-19 and the US Cattle Industry

On Wednesday, the Vice President for Government Affairs for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Ethan Lane, offered a media briefing on what the cattle industry is doing in Washington to engage the White House and the USDA on issues related to the Chinese Coronavirus situation.


After the briefing, Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays had the chance to get some exclusive comments with Lane about the efforts of the NCBA in this unfolding story- including the status of keeping the pipeline open for US beef to get to both domestic and global consumers, concerns of cattle producers about artifically low cattle prices, the status of Hours of Service for trucking live animals and beef and the efforts of USDA to minimize market disruption.
