Audio From Oklahoma Farm Bureau Webinar- Governor Kevin Stitt on Supreme Court Decision Against State of Oklahoma on Tribal Sovereignty

Oklahoma Farm Bureau hosted live webinar on Monday, Aug. 3 featuring Gov. Kevin Stitt regarding the Oklahoma Commission on Cooperative Sovereignty, created to address concerns and make recommendations to the state and to Congress after the recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings in McGirt v. Oklahoma and Sharp v. Murphy.


On this special Ag Perspectives Podcast- we have the audio from the webinar for you to be able to hear.


Stitt was joined on the call by McCurtain County Farm Bureau member Brent Bolen, a newly appointed member of the cooperative sovereignty commission, and OKFB President Rodd Moesel. Bolen told those listening that when it comes to this Supreme Court decision that went against the State of Oklahoma- there is plenty to worry about.


Created through a recent executive order, the Oklahoma Commission on Cooperative Sovereignty will advise the governor on civil, criminal and regulatory concerns, and will be composed of leaders from various spheres including law, government and business.
