Just Ahead of the November General Election- Colin Woodall Talks Appropriations, GIPSA, TPP and More

Wed, 26 Oct 2016 19:31:22 CDT

With less than two weeks before the November General Election- Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays talked with the Vice President for Governmental Affairs for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Colin Woodall. Ron and Colin looked at several issues just ahead of the elections, including regulatory issues, Estate Tax changes promoted by the IRS and the number one priority for the NCBA in the upcoming Lame Duck session- the ratification of the Trans Pacific Partnership.

Regarding TPP- Woodall tells Hays it is do or die during the lame duck to get a vote on the trade deal- as he sees little chance of it surviving when a new administration arrives in January.
