From the 2018 TSCRA Convention- House Ag Committee Chairman Mike Conaway Talks Farm Bill and More

At the 2018 Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Convention in Ft. Worth- cattle producers welcomed Texas Congressman and current Chairman of the House Ag Committee, Mike Conaway. Conaway talked about several issues- but spent most of his time talking about his work on moving forward with the writing of the 2018 Farm BILL.

He told the Cattle Raisers that he was disappointed that the Democrats on the House Ag Committee had broken off discussions with him on the Nutrition Title- and his intentions to tie a massive training program for adults to getting food stamps in the future.

Regardless of what happens with ranking member Colin Peterson- the Chairman said he plans to move forward with marking up a farm bill in Committee, then on to the floor next month- April.
