Talking Beef Checkoff MOU with Scott Stuart of Beef Checkoff Working Group

The eight groups that comprise the Beef Checkoff Working Group have developed a Memorandum of Understanding that, if adopted, would enhance the Beef Checkoff by allowing more cattle producers have input into those who make the budget decisions regarding how to spend checkoff money- as well as double the current checkoff from a dollar a head to two dollars a head.

Scott Stuart, the CEO of National Livestock Producers, is the Chairman of the Working Group and talked with Ron Hays about the MOU and what is ahead in the multi year effort to increase the checkoff and offer other improvements.
