From the Texoma Cattlemen's Conference- Ron Hays Talks Cattle Markets with Dr. Derrell Peel of OSU

The leadoff speaker at the 2016 Texoma Cattlemen's Conference was the Oklahoma State University Professor who holds the Charles Breedlove Professorship in Agribusiness, Dr. Derrell Peel. Dr. Peel squeezed his presentation at the 4th Annual Texoma Cattlemen's Conference in and around appearances from coast to coast- as in recent days, he has talked with cattlemen in Florida, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Kentucky and Alabama.


Ahead of his presentation at the Texoma Cattlemen's Conference, Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Director of Farm Programming Ron Hays talked with Peel about the problems that led to the cattle market price plunge in 2015, how 2016 seems to be a return to more seasonal tendencies and what's ahead for all the sectors of the beef cattle business.
