Ethan Morris of Atoka- the 2010 Oklahoma FFA Star in Agribusiness Atoka FFA member Ethan Morris does not have a season of rest. For every season he works on one of his four agribusinesses, making profit as well as learning valuable skills in the business world, and his unwavering dedication to his businesses has led him to the 2010 State Star in Agribusiness award. You can see our Star over Oklahoma salute to Ethan Morris by clicking play on the video screen below.

Morris found success throughout all of his entrepreneurships. His businesses include a business building cement feed troughs, a firewood operation, a Bermuda grass sprigging company, and a hay sales business. Morris' supervised agricultural experience program was rated the best agribusiness program among the 683 FFA members who received the State FFA Degree during the 84th annual State FFA Convention on April 28. In addition to the honors, Morris received the Governor's Trophy as well as a $2,000 cash award sponsored by Blue & Gold Sausage Co.

Morris' life has always been centered on agriculture due to his family's ranch. His skills and passion has continued to grow as he becomes more and more involved. "I was always interested in building things and being involved in every aspect of our ranch," Morris said. "My skills and abilities started to grow as my age increased and I was soon helping my dad in every way." Morris has taken advantage of his SAE and used his success as a learning tool for his future.

"Since the beginning of my agribusiness SAE I have been able to learn valuable business lessons such as, marketing, customer relations and record keeping," Morris said. "My experience in the FFA has been exceptionally rewarding and enjoyable." The 18-year-old Atoka FFA member is the son of Ronnie and Sherry Morris. His agricultural education instructors and FFA advisors are Bart and Michelle Harper.
