Twenty One OKlahoma FFA Members Are National Finalists in 2018 Proficiency Awards- Will Compete in Indianapolis This October

Oklahoma FFA is once again among the top states in the US when it comes to the number of National Proficiency Award finalists that will compete at the National FFA Convention this October in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Twenty one Oklahoma FFA members have qualified as one of four finalists in their categories- making Oklahoma the state with the third most Proficiency Award Finalists in the nation- behind only Georgia and Ohio. Two of Oklahoma's National Finalists- Ethan Sacket of Fairview and Kohl Murray of Perkins Tryon were National Finalists last year- and will return to Indianapolis to compete for a national championship.
Three members of the Fairview FFA Chapter have qualified as a National Finalist, while the Stillwater Chapter can claim two national finalists for 2018.
Four national finalists are selected in each proficiency award areas to compete for a national proficiency award.
Proficiency award winners are announced on stage during the National FFA Convention & Expo.
Each national finalist receives $500 cash award and a plaque. National winners receive an additional $500 award and a plaque.

Diversified Crop Production - Entrepreneurship - Tuff Johnson, Afton
Diversified Horticulture - Entrepreneurship/Placement - Ethan Sacket, Fairview
Environmental Science and Natural Resources Management - Entrepreneurship/Placement - Riley Estes, Cashion
Equine Science - Entrepreneurship - Natally Owen, Mustang
