Wed, 30 Oct 2019 05:23:54 CDT
It is not bittersweet- but rather a feeling of fullfillment that Ridge Hughbanks is experiencing this week as he helps his five fellow National FFA Officers lead the 92nd National Convention of the FFA organization in Indianapolis. Hughbanks is from Alva, Oklahoma- and his year as the Central Regional National Vice President of the youth organization is just about up. On the eve of the official start of the 2019 Convention, he tells Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays, he says that so many great memories of this past year and really the past six years are flooding over him as these final days of service begin at the National Convention.
Hughbanks recounts his first National Convention as a Sophomore when he sang in the National FFA Chorus to his service as State President of the Oklahoma FFA to hearing his name called as one of the National Officer team about a year ago- as well as some of the highlights of the past year as he traveled over a 100,000 miles representing the organization.
