Blake Jackson in the Hunt for National Honors in the "Extemp" Speech Contest

Blake Jackson in the Hunt for National Honors in the The 2008 contestant from Oklahoma in the National Extemporaneous Speech Contest is Blake Jackson who hails from the Hartshorne FFA Chapter. Blake is here in Indianapolis with his Dad and we caught up with him as he finished the first round of the competition. (Perhaps that is why he has a smile on his face). We listened to his group of speakers and I believe he has moved into the semis that are underway as we type this- will let you know for sure once we get confirmation of that. We are located in the Conseco Fieldhouse while the Speech Contests are several blocks away.

In the first round, Blake spoke on how advances in ag technology will impact agriculture in the years to come. He spoke well and answered questions well.
