Oklahoma FFA Dominates the National Proficiency Awards at the 2009 National FFA Convention Oklahoma FFA claimed 11 National Proficiency Awards on Friday afternoon at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, the most from any single state. For the second straight year, Oklahoma has the most Proficiency Awards of any state- and in 2009, the Oklahoma FFA Association almost doubled the efforts of last year when Oklahoma FFA members claimed 6 National Award winners. Second to Oklahoma this year is California with 6 National winners, Wisconsin was the third most productive state with 5 National Award winners and Georgia and Illinois each had four.

Mulhall-Orlando FFA in Oklahoma has the unique distinction of having three finalists and two of them went on to win National honors.
