Fri, 17 Mar 2017 14:15:07 CDT
Shane Bedwell was back as the Market Steer Judge for the second year- and he looked at almost 600 market steers during the two day market steer show. Thursday evening, during the Grand Champion drive, eleven steers paraded around the State Fair Arena and Bedwell settled on one of the Champions he had selected earlier in the day- the Chianina Steer. Young Tommy Glover, who had the Reserve Grand Champion a yer ago, earned the Grand Championship for 2017.
The Reserve Grand Champion was the Crossbred Champ- shown by Seth Tucker of the Lindsay FFA.
The third steer selected in the Grand Drive by Bedwell was reserve Chianina shown by last year's Grand Champion owner- Baylor Bonham of Newcastle FFA.
Besides these three steers, 68 other steers will also be a part of the Sale of Champions this afternoon. Click here to see the Sale of Champions Sale Order Catalog.
