Bailey Buck of Madill Shows First Ever Supreme Champion Influence Beef Heifer

Bailey Buck of Madill Shows First Ever Supreme Champion Influence Beef Heifer Five Beef Breeds held special "Percentage" or Influence Classes during their part of the Beef Heifer show at the 2011 Oklahoma Youth Expo. For the first time ever, the five winners of those "Influence" Divisions competed against one another for scholarship dollars and recognition. With the help of sponsor VitaFerm, the Champion received $3,000, Reserve $2,000 and third place $1,000.


The Supreme Champion Influence Beef Heifer was the Maintainer Champion shown by Bailey Buck of the Madill FFA Chapter. (Pictured here)


Reserve Supreme Champion Influence Beef heifer was the second place Maintainer Heifer- shown by Macee Coggins of Rogers County 4-H.


Here are the Champion and Reserve Champions for all five breeds that held this extra category for their breed at the 2011 OYE:



Percentage Charolais Breeding Heifers

    * Champion - Kenlee Crouch, Elk City 4-H
    * Reserve Champion - Clint Barney, Canton FFA


Chinanina Influence Breeding Heifers

    * Champion - Aaron Elliot, Johnston County 4-H
    * Reserve Champion - Brock Carter, Seninel FFA


MaineTainer Influence Breeding Heifers

    * Breed Champion - Bailey Buck, Madill FFA
    * Reserve Breed Champion - Macee Coggins, Rogers County 4-H


Shorthorn Plus Influence Breeding Heifers

    * Breed Champion - Raylynn Thompson, Mayes County 4-H
    * Reserve Breed Champion - Austin Grellner, Payne County 4-H


Simmental Influence Breeding Heifers

    * Grand Champion - McKenzie Strickland, Tecumseh FFA
