Wed, 09 Mar 2022 19:57:49 CST
The Woodland FFA Chapter took home the Gold Grand Championship at the 3rd Annual Ag Mechanics show at the Oklahoma Youth Expo.
The 4 person team had big dreams this year while building their One of a kind Roll-off Trailer hay bed. The Group consists of Josie Doshier, Danner Lessert, Trista Kelly and Landee Doshier and together they came up with the idea to build a Hay bed.
The group consists of a Junior, a Senior, and 8th Grader, and a freshman, so they will have plenty of time to start thinking about their project for next year.
The group faced stiff competition with over 122 projects represented in the Ag Mechanics show ranging from swingsets, end tables, chandeliers, cattle feeders, working chutes, trailers and more.
750 man hours is how long it took for the project to come together and the group worked together daily in their ag shop to complete the project.
When asked what these FFA'rs were most excited about.. they said "The Limo Ride, and Going to Cattlemens!"(The Limo Ride is part of the Night of Champions event at the Oklahoma Youth Expo.
Congratulations to these Grand Champion Students from Woodland FFA!
