12 year old Trenton Morton Shares some of his Favorite Things about the Oklahoma Youth Expo

The Oklahoma Youth Expo is a beautiful time to reconnect with friends and families across the state as everyone gathers to show livestock or watch the livestock show. Farm Director KC Sheperd caught up with 12-Year-old Trenton Morton from the Newkirk FFA Chapter says one of his favorite things about OYE is getting to see his friends and family, "Meeting all the new people, showing my livestock, plus playing with my friends. That just brings it all together."
Trenton's Grandparents are Larry & Mary Peck, the founders of Ag Youth Magazine, a Magazine they started to tell positive stories about the outstanding young people involved in agriculture across the Midwest, and Trenton had also helped them take pictures for the magazine, "When I was little I loved taking pictures with my grandpa! It was the main thing to do when you came to OYE. I always had a camera on in the ring taking pictures."
Trenton said without the help of his friends and family, his show career wouldn't be possible, "If I didn't have the support of my family and my grandpa, I would not be here. They've been behind me the whole nine yards, and I have them to rely on if I'm down."
Trenton Shows Wether Goats which begin showing on Wednesday this week, and he's hoping for a chance to be in the ring for the Night of Champions, "I'm a little nervous, but not extraordinarily nervous. I know things can't always go as planned, but we are going to be on the bright side, and I'm really excited. The Whole year has been waiting on this moment."
