Oklahoma Attorney General John O'Connor Impressed with Work Ethic Shown by OYE Exhibitors

When Business Leaders and Politicians take time and walk through the barns at the Oklahoma Youth Expo- they come away very impressed about the thousands of young people and their families working with their livestock and learning a variety of life lessons
that will get them prepared to be outstanding citizens in the years ahead.
Count Oklahoma's 19th Attorney General John O'Connor in that camp of coming away impressed after spending time at the 2022 OYE. He told Oklahoma Farm Report's Ron Hays "It's incredable and I love what it does in training these young people. Not only are they learning discipline but they are also learning to be entrepreneurs. I love this- they are hard working young people and they are the future of our state and of our nation."
O'Connor became Attorney in July 2021 after being appointed by Governor Kevin Stitt. He's making a run for the AG position for a full four year term this fall- but faces a tough primary battle that culminates with the June 28th Primary Election.
Hays and O'Connor discussed some of the issues his office has been dealing with- including the Supreme Court Decision in the Oklahoma Vs. McGirt case. He says that as the state AG- he is the lead counsel in representing Oklahoma in the Federal Courts- including the Supreme Court .
