OYE 2014- Tyler Norvell Gives us a Saturday Night Update- Listen

Here's a Saturday night update- we talk for just a couple of minutes with Executive Director Tyler Norvell who is pleased at how the opening weekend is going at the 2014 Oklahoma Youth Expo. The first of the competitions are done- breeding gilts were shown on Friday and Saturday- and almost 2,000 females were shown to the purebred and commercial gilt judges.
Norvell tells us that it will be a late night and early morning for the volunteers that work to make the show a reality, as the state fair park arena must be turned from a basketball court as the state tournament basketball games held on Friday and Saturday are done. The job of turning the arena into a cattle show ring must be done by noontime on Sunday, when the Beef Heifer shows will get underway.
We have pictures of the breeding gilt shows from Friday and now Saturday on our FLICKR set for the 2014 OYW- Click here for that set of pics.
The Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Multi Media Platform coverage of the Oklahoma Youth Expo is powered by Devon Energy- where commitment runs deep- and by the Title Sponsor of the 2014 OYE, McDonald's- I'm Loving It.
