Purebred Market Hog Champions Selected at 2015 Oklahoma Youth Expo

Purebred Market Hog Champions Selected at 2015 Oklahoma Youth Expo The Purebred Market Hog Show is now complete- with only the Crossbred barrows to be judged on Thursday leading up to the Grand Champion drive that will happen on Thursday evening in the State Fair Arena.


On Tuesday- Five breeds were shown- including the Berkshire, Chester Whites, Durocs, Poland China and Spots. On Wednesday- the Purebred portion of the Market Hog show concluded with the Hampshires and Yorkshires. Pictured here is Garrison Straka of Canadian County 4-H as he showed his Hampshire Barrow to the Breed Championship on Wednesday.


Here are the Champions and Reserves for the seven breeds that are shown at the Oklahoma Youth Expo


Berkshire
Champion- Kenzie Sellers, Marlow FFA
Reserve- Kallie Coakley, Hobart FFA


Chester White
Champion- Skeet Davis, Rock Creek Third Grader
Reserve- Rylee Simpson, Locust Grove FFA



Duroc
Champion- Karson Osborn, Fort Gibson 4-H
Reserve- Delainna Beard, El Reno FFA


Poland China
Champion- Trevor Franke, Covington Douglas 4-H
Reserve- Kolton Baber, Big Pasture FFA


Spot
Champion- Bo Smith, Keys FFA
Reserve- Mckayla Lindsey, Thomas-Fay-Custer FFA


Hampshire   
Champion- Garrison Straka, Canadian County 4-H
Reserve- Kate Jackson, Mountain View-Gotebo 4-H


Yorkshire   
Champion- Brock Allen, Rock Creek FFA
Reserve- Kylee Carroll, Washington FFA
