Adison Thompson of Noble 4-H Claims Top Honors- as Her Yorkshire Champ Named Supreme Purebred Gilt at Oklahoma Youth Expo

After sorting through more than 1,400 purebred gilts on Thursday and Friday, judges Justin Rodibaugh and Curt Hannon- both from Indiana, agreed on their favorite to be declared the Supreme Champion Purebred Gilt at the 2018 Oklahoma Youth Expo. After thanking lots of folks- including a thank you to the troops who serve this country and keep America safe(that got a sustained standing ovation!)- Rodibaugh walked over and shook the hand of Adison Thompson of the Noble 4-H Club- her Yorkshire champion was named the best Purebred gilt at the 2018 OYE- and will be one of the first animals to sell at the Night of Stars Gilt Sale this coming Wednesday evening. The Reserve Supreme Gilt was the Champion Berkshire- owned and shown by Sadie Varner of Bristow.
From Thursday's show- six breeds were shown- and Friday morning, the final two breeds, the Polands and the Durocs competed- and their champions were named.
