Carlee Clark's Maine Anjou Claims Supreme Champion Beef Heifer Honors at 2019 OYE

Carlee Clark's Maine Anjou Claims Supreme Champion Beef Heifer Honors at 2019 OYE Exhibitors in the 2019 Oklahoma Youth Expo were awarded over $30,000 in scholarships just ahead of the Supreme Championship drive in three categories on Monday evening- this coming after judges Dan Allan of Texas and Lydell Meier of Tennessee sorted through several hundred heifers in the Jim Norrick Arena at State Fair Park on Sunday and Monday.

Fifteen Beef Breeds (plus the catchall AOB) were judged with the winners of those 16 breed shows were led into the arena on Monday- with the Maine Anjou Heifer Shown by Carlee Clark of Sequoyah County 4-H taking Supreme Champion Honors of the Beef Heifer Show(pictured here receiving her scholarship check from Devon Energy). The Reserve Supreme Champion Heifer was the Angus Champion, shown by Meah Allison of Canadian County 4-H.

There was also a Supreme Champion selected in the Influence Heifer category, with the Simmental Influence Heifer shown by Cody Courtney of Fort Cobb-Broxton FFA winning the Supreme Champion title. Reserve Supreme Champion Influence Heifer was the Maintainer Champ- shown by Macy Collum of Perkins-Tryon FFA. Other champions that were shown in the Supreme Influence Heifer selection included the Percentage Charolais Heifer shown by Finley Yocham of Sapulpa 4-H and the Champion Shorthorn Plus Heifer shown by Reece Richardson of Arapho-Butler FFA.

The third and final category was the Bred and Owned breakout. The Supreme Champion Bred and Owned Beef Heifer belongs to Kya Rhodes of Vanoss FFA, with her Polled Herefrod Heifer. The Reserve Supreme Champion Honors were claimed by Tayhlor Elmore of Osage County 4-H- showing the Champion Limousin Red and Owned Heifer.

Reserve- Quinn Carpenter, Bethel 4-H

Brangus
Champion- Stratton Walck, Lindsay FFA
Reserve- Trinity Hobbs, Cherokee County 4-H

Charolais

Reserve- Claire Hartin, Madill 4-H
