Fri, 20 Mar 2009 6:37:16 CDT
Earlier this week, the 2008 Miss Rodeo America, Amy Wilson of Colby, Kansas, spent some time at the Oklahoma Youth Expo and was one of the speakers for the "This One is for the Girls" event that attracted about 300 this year and was hosted by the Diamond Hats. (Our picture here is in the KWTV News9 studio- Amy, Ron Hays and Lacey Dale Cully of Express Ranches as Ron prepares to talk to these lovely ladies about the Oklahoma Youth Expo on the weekly In the Field segment)
Amy also spent time talking to several media outlets about the Premium Sale that happens this coming Monday afternoon at 4:00 PM at the State Fair Arena. She will be our guest on our In the Field TV segment seen on Saturday mornings on KWTV News9 in Oklahoma City this Saturday morning- around 6:40 AM.
She is a farm girl, grew up raising livestock and falling in love with Rodeo- and has been a bright, articulate and beautiful spokeswoman for rodeo and livestock interests around the country because of the Miss Rodeo America title.
We talked with her about showing livestock, rodeo, animals rights activists and animal agriculture- and you can hear our conversation by clicking on the listen bar below.
