McDonalds Major and Enthusiastic Supporter of the Oklahoma Youth Expo
Fri, 19 Mar 2010 5:56:15 CDT
Earlier this year, the Sirloin Club, made up of supporters of the Oklahoma Youth Expo, honored McDonalds with what they call their "President's Award." It was given to McDonalds and their franchise owners for major support of the Oklahoma Youth Expo in recent years.
This past Wednesday evening, Ed Phillips, a franchise owner from western Oklahoma, represented McDonalds at the Legislature Show and found himself paired up with John Nelson of the Chickasha 4-H. The picture here is of Ed Phillips (with his McDonalds Logo jacket on), Biff Horrocks, Jordy the Bred Heifer, 4-Her John Nelson and Sue Horrocks. Biff and Sue Horrocks own McDonalds franchises in the Stillwater area.
We talked with Phillips about McDonalds being a major sponsor in recent years- and he told us that they believe this support of the OYE is a natural fit, especially since McDonalds is the biggest customer of US agriculture in a lot of different categories.
