National Ag Day/Week This Week

This Saturday we will celebrate two events. The first day of spring and National Ag Day. National Ag Day is a day we recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture. But for many the celebration of Ag Day has already begun. National Ag Week started this past Sunday.

The National Ag Day program encourages every American to: Understand how food and fiber products are produced; To value the essential role of agriculture in maintaining a strong economy; and Appreciate the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products.

The National Corn Growers Association is a proud sponsor of this celebration, hosted by the Agricultural Council of America. Organizers hope to reach an expanded target audience with this year’s theme: American Agriculture: Abundant, Affordable, Amazing.
