An Improved Economic Outlook Could Point to Stronger Cattle Prices
Tue, 16 Mar 2010 21:07:21 CDT
We continue the conversation with Livestock Market Information Center Economist Erica Rosa, who says that demand is really not reflected in tighter meat per capita consumption in 2009 versus 2008.
She believes that the potential is in the cattle market for a good rally for calf, yearling and feedlot finished cattle- based on the tightness of the supplies of meat available to the domestic market. LMIC does expect continued modest growth in the export market- especially for both beef and for pork.
We started the conversation on yesterday's Beef Buzz, click here for that part of the conversation.
We continue with Erica on today's beef Buzz.
The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the state on the Radio Oklahoma Network- but is also a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
