OSU Grain Marketing Guru Kim Anderson on Marketing Your Wheat- Sit on it.

Fri, 19 Mar 2010 6:08:59 CDT

OSU Grain Marketing Guru Kim Anderson on Marketing Your Wheat- Sit on it. Dr. Kim Anderson says not much is happening in the wheat market, except that it is wallering around. For now, we have been able to hold around the five dollar level, but Dr. Anderson tells Clinton Griffiths of SUNUP that he fears we could see the hard red winter wheat market breaking through $5 to the downside- and that could allow us to drop about forty cents a bushel as we get closer to the harvest season.

Dr. Anderson has a simple message for those wanting to think about the marketing of the 2010- "just sit on it." He believes there is a chance for a post harvest rally that will pay you to hold your crop( at least a good part of it) in storage as you harvest it in 2010.

Dr. Anderson's comments to Clinton Griffith are a web feature only this week, as there will be no fresh SUNUP because of the OETA fund raising festival this weekend. You can hear Kin's comments with Clinton by clicking on the Listen Bar below.
