Fri, 18 Jun 2010 7:05:59 CDT
Wheat prices have moved stronger- even in the face of harvest. OSU Grain Marketing Economist Dr. Kim Anderson explains some of the reasons for the better wheat prices in recent days- and he also takes the time with Clinton Griffiths to talk about canola and corn prices as well.
Dr. Anderson's comments come as a part of the weekly program SUNUP, produced by the OSU Ag Communications team. Host Clinton Griffiths talks weekly with Dr. Anderson- you can see that on Saturdays on OETA during the SUNUP show- or you can hear the audio comments RIGHT NOW by clicking on the Listen Bar below.
Besides the grain marketing comments- Griffiths gives us a rundown of some of the other segments of this week's SUNUP Program. They include:
Kim Anderson takes us to school and teaches viewers how to grade grain.
Glenn Selk discusses when producers should start culling last year's replacement heifers.
SUNUP gets the basics on feeding supplements to cattle grazing summer grass.
In the shop, Randy and Wayne talk fuses.
Derrell Peel fills provides analysis of market direction through the summer months.
In AGWEATHER we look at June rainfall totals and provides the long-range forecast.
Finally, we end with a story about the state's biggest cowboy joining in to harvest one of it's biggest crops.
