MBA Grads Trained to Tell Beef Story
Mon, 19 Jul 2010 20:03:53 CDT
The Masters in Beef Advocacy is a program that has developed out of the need to have grass roots cattle producers ready to respond to those in their community or in the media that do not understand how today's beef cattle farms and ranches operate.
Daren Williams with the National Cattlemen's Beef Association has been one of the driving forces of the MBA program since it began. From just a handful of early graduates- there are now almost 1,500 trained producers who understand many of the great stories about beef and how cattlemen produce beef that people simply don't know- at least not as well as beef industry would like.
We talk on today's Beef Buzz with Williams about the "why" of the MBA program and how it has evolved.
Click here for more information on the Masters in Beef Advocacy Program. Daren hopes that even more producers will sign up- take the informatitive six segments that make up the on line part of the MBA program- then attend a final session and get their certificate that shows they now possess a genuine MBA degree!
The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the state on the Radio Oklahoma Network- but is also a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
