Global Demands for Protein Can't Be Denied- US Livestock Producers Are Needed to Help Supply that Protein
Thu, 23 Dec 2010 5:09:39 CST
Earlier in 2010, Arlington, Virginia was host for The Animal Ag Alliance Stakeholders Summit. The event focused on those who want to eliminate animal agriculture in one form or fashion- and how livestock producers and others in the industry need to respond. One of the speakers at the summit was Dr. Gale Buchanan, form USDA Undersecretary. He discussed how animal agriculture needs to continue to feed a growing population on limited resources.
Dr. Buchanan adds that he understands that there are those who want animal agriculture eliminated in the years to come- but he is optimistic that if the various parts of animal agriculture will stick together- those who wish the industry ill can be stopped in their tracks.
Dr. Buchanan's comments are the focus of today's Best of the 2010 Beef Buzz radio series.
The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the state on the Radio Oklahoma Network- but is also a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
