Plasticulture Workshop to be held Saturday at Moore-Norman Technology Center

A workshop explaining gardening techniques using plasticulture will be held this coming Saturday at the Moore Norman Technology Center's South Penn Campus in Oklahoma City. Cost is $15 per person and lunch is included.
Micah Anderson, Plasticulture Specialist for the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, said there are 13 programs scheduled for the day covering everything from soil health to available grants for people wanting to get involved in plasticulture.
"This will be the single largest gathering of experts in the field of plasticulture and small farming operations we expect to see this year," he said. "We will not only cover production and marketing, but also financial assistance and insurance issues."
The Moore Norman Technology Center is located at 13301 S. Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City. For more information call (405) 522-4330. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and the program will begin at 9:00 a.m.
