Vilsack Touts Benefits of Trade, Korea Deal
Wed, 16 Mar 2011 17:12:07 CDT
Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack on Wednesday was highlighting the benefits of increasing ag trade and urging passage of the Korean Trade Agreement. Vilsack says that the congress must focus on passing smart trade deals like the agreement with Korea -- deals that will increase exports and support job creation. He says the Korea trade deal - which needs Congressional ratification - will add tens of thousands of jobs to the U.S. economy and eliminate tariffs on a variety of American goods - including agricultural products like grains, fruits, vegetables and beef.
