Kayla Brown of Merritt FFA Wins Grand Championship with Her Crossbred Lamb at 2011 OYE
Mon, 21 Mar 2011 12:09:04 CDT
The 2011 Market Lamb show was won by Kayla Brown of the Merritt FFA- Kayla had the champion Crossbred that she led in the Grand Champion drive. Kayla tells us that her lamb was being shown in Oklahoma City for only the third time- that the Grand Champion of the OYE in 2011 had been shown at her county show, then District and then on to OYE- no jackpot shows for this lamb.
The Reserve Grand Champion was also pulled from the Crossbred competition, with Jill Davis of the Guthrie FFA Chapter showing the reserve champion crossbred and the Reserve Grand Champion of the show.
The bronze medallion was claimed by the owner of the Champion Hampshire lamb- Amber Cox of the Morrison FFA. The Bronze goes to the third highest placing lamb in the entire show.
We have an audio overview of the show available by clicking on the LISTEN BAR below- it includes comments from the owner of the Grand Champion- Kayla Brown.
