Another Budget Vote Today
Mon, 07 Mar 2011 17:18:06 CST
Tuesday will be yet another milestone in getting a federal budget passed. Today the Senate moves to vote on two bills that would fund government for the rest of this fiscal year. One of the bills has already passed the House and the other has passed the Senate. Their costs are significantly different. The House-passed Republican bill would cut an estimated 61.5-billion dollars from current spending, while the Senate proposal would cut 10.5-billion dollars from the President's budget request for FY 2011.
