Wed, 29 Jun 2011 17:01:32 CDT
Scott Dewald, Executive Director Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association, gives us an update on the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Annual Convention and Trade Show on today's Beef Buzz. The OCA Convention and Trade Show will be held July 28 to July 30 in Midwest City, Okla. Dewald says they are looking forward to getting an update from Phil Seng, President of U.S. Meat Export Federation, on the global beef marketplace.
Dewald says with the current situation in the beef market with international demand, this will be beneficial to cattle producers as they strive to provide beef for consumers around the world. Also, the annual trade show will be held in conjunction with the convention. Dewald says there are 110 vendors this year- ranging from pharmaceutical companies to feedlots to feed companies. Dewald says it will be a one stop place to get all of the information for the cattle industry.
Also speaking at the OCA Convention and Trade Show will be House Agriculture Chairman Frank Lucas and Senator Jim Inhofe, as the give an update on how they are working for cattle producers.
