Don Morey of Elk City Grabs Ice Cream Title at State Fair of Oklahoma The 2011 Cow to Cone State Fair Ice Cream contest was held Sunday at the 2011 State Fair of Oklahoma- and the overall winner of the event was Larry Don Morey of Elk City. Morey made "Very Beriee Scrumptious Strawberry Ice Cream- and it was the favorite of the judges, winning the Fruit Category- then picking up the People's Choice award as the crowd favorite as well.

Very Beriee Scrumptious Strawberry Ice Cream

Ingredients:
One 16 ounce carton of Egg Beaters
1/2 Pint of Real Whipping cream
1 quart half and half
3 Cups of Sugar
1 teaspoon of Pure Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon salt
2 16 ounce tubs of frozen starwberries- thawed


In a large bowl, mic Egg Beaters, whipping cream, half & half, salt and vanilla. Mix untik well blended.

Add strawberries and mic at low speed.

Pour mixture into 1.5 gallon electric ice cream freezer. Add milk to fill line. Cover canister with plactic wrap or lid. Plug in Freezer. Alternate laters of ice with rock salt sprinkled on top of ice. Freeze 2-25 minutes or until the motor stops.

Remove paddle when ice cream is finished and repack cannister with salt and ice. Cover with blanket until served.
