Get a Taste of Traditional Italian Cuisine at Giuseppe's Italian Dining in Marlow

Thu, 17 Nov 2011 14:50:50 CST

Get a Taste of Traditional Italian Cuisine at Giuseppe's Italian Dining in Marlow The Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma continues this week with Giuseppe's Italian Dining of Marlow, Okla. Originally known as a grocery store and for selling homemade pizzas, Giuseppe's Italian Dining quickly came to light simply because of the demand for their delicious Italian dishes. What started as a joke between friends, Giuseppe's Italian Dining opened in 1996 and has been serving up traditional cuisine ever since.

Harold Wellier, owner of Giuseppe's Italian Dining, bought the restaurant with his family in 2008 but the atmosphere, dishes and tradition have never changed. In fact, they still hold onto one tradition that is a customer favorite. Those visiting Giuseppe's Italian Dining can dine in "The Broom Closet," which is a kind of private dining experience for customers. With a completely private menu and personal wait staff for The Broom Closet, customers are definitely in for a treat but they must first find the secret entrance to dine there.

Giuseppe's also pride themselves on their very unique menu. With at least one special every week that is not listed on the menu, anyone that visits Giuseppe's is in for a surprise. Also, Wellier adds that the specials and menu tends to vary based on what ingredients the chef have on hand and what they have in mind for the week.

However, some of the more popular menu items include the "Angry Chicken," which Wellier says is chicken in a delicious red sauce that has a spicy side to it. Also, restaurant goers enjoy the Osso Bucco, which is a center cut shank of a milk-fed veal that is cooked to tender perfection.

Wellier also adds that the environment is one of entertainment. Located in a historic 1911 State National Bank, Giuseppe's has a unique enivronment that is both relaxed and elegant. Wellier says it really adds its own sense of charm, especially during the upcoming holiday season.

Giuseppe's Italian Dining is open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

As part of the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma deal, at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, customers will be able to purchase two $25 vouchers to Giuseppe's Italian Dining for $25. But, there are only 100 vouchers available for purchase. The Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma selected Giuseppe's Italian Dining because of their history and reputation as a fine dining establishment. More restaurants from across the state will be featured as legendary restaurants throughout the upcoming year.

Visit the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma website for more information on the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma and to purchase your voucher as part of this half-off deal to Giuseppe's Italian Dining.
