AFR Sponsors Livestock Judging Contest at Redlands Interscholastic Contest

American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR), the oldest general farm organization in the state and mutual insurance company, sponsored the Livestock Judging Contest at the Redlands Interscholastic Contest April 19. Over $2,200 in scholarships and prizes were awarded to 4-H and FFA members involved in the contest.
In the Junior Division, first place team, Maysville 4-H; second place, Minco 4-H; and third place, Canadian County 4-H. Top ranking individuals in the Junior division included first place, Will Shelby, Marshall County 4-H; second place, Jamie Schieber, Canadian County 4-H; and third place, MaKayla Green, Maysville.
In the Intermediate Division, first place team, Morrison FFA; second place, Kingfisher FFA; and third place, Macomb FFA. Top individuals in the Intermediate division included first place, Logan Johns, Morrison FFA; second place, Kory Dietz, Alva FFA; and third place, Amber Cox, Morrison FFA.
In the Senior Division, first place team, Kingfisher FFA; second place, Elgin FFA; and third place, Tuttle FFA. Top ranking individuals in the Senior division included first place, Matthew Walta, Kingfisher FFA; second place, Jeff Spencer, Elgin FFA; and third place, Garrett Goodwin, Kay County 4-H.
Both the Intermediate and Senior High Individual and the High Team received a $500 Scholarship sponsored by American Farmers & Ranchers.
"Our membership actively promotes the youth of our state and look forward to the future accomplishments of these outstanding students," AFR President Terry Detrick said.
