Eight Inches of Rain Inundates Blackwell Area- Putting Wheat and Canola Crops in Jeopardy

Torrential rains hit north central Oklahoma, putting in jeopardy the winter wheat and canola crops that have looked tremendous in recent days in Grant and Kay counties. Here is a snapshot as of 6 AM central time, April 30th of rainfall totals across Oklahoma. Kay County's Blackwell mesonet station is reporting over 8 inches of rainfall in the last 48 hours, most of that in the last twelve hours.
