Cargill Beef Takes Finely Textured Beef (FTB) For A Spin Around NASCAR Track
Mon, 07 May 2012 17:56:12 CDT
Cargill Beef has enlisted its sponsorship of Roush Fenway Racing car No. 6, driven by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., in its marketing plans to educate consumers about Cargill's FTB.
The company debuted a new paint scheme for the car and announced an expanded roster of sponsored races-to 15, up from 12 last year-at a picnic for 1,000 U.S. Air Force personnel at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Stenhouse's first race in the Cargill Beef car is Friday. Another 500 fans will attend a grilled Cargill burger lunch-including FTB-at Richmond International Speedway.
The company developed the program to help consumers better understand how beef is produced, its nutritional value as part of a balanced diet, and the many types of beef products that feed Americans will also be launched at Richmond. Two Cargill sponsored websites for consumers were launched recently: www.ilikebeefinmybeef.com and www.truthaboutbeef.com
