The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service will co-host a Fall Food Plot Seminar to assist agricultural producers in preparing for the upcoming season.
The seminar will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Auditorium in Oklahoma City, Okla. The seminar is designed to provide foundational knowledge about wildlife habitat management practices necessary for attracting white-tailed deer.
Attendees will receive information on the pros and cons of food plots, soil samples and white-tailed deer habitat management practices, such as prescribed burning and livestock grazing.
"This seminar will offer solid information for several key issues of wildlife habitat management," said Steven Smith, Noble Foundation wildlife consultant. "While the seminar is targeted to those new to wildlife management, anybody can attend. The information provided is applicable to wildlife enthusiasts in most situations."
The seminar is offered at no charge, but preregistration is requested. For additional information or to register, please call the OSU Extension office at 405.713.1125
