Drought Worries Lead 6 PM News on Tulsa TV
Thu, 06 Dec 2012 21:41:58 CST
Drought conditions are very much on the minds of farmers and especially ranchers who are attending the 2012 Tulsa Farm Show- and the Radio Oklahoma Network's Ron Hays spent time with reporter Craig Day of KOTV- the News on 6 in Tulsa during day one of the 2012 event. After talking with Hays, Craig Day caught up with a rancher from the Perry, Oklahoma area- Dough Hentges. His report led the 6:00 PM news on the CBS affiliate in Tulsa on Thursday evening.
You can watch Craig Day's look at the extreme to exceptional drought that much of Oklahoma is once again facing- and how a couple of Oklahoma ranchers are fearful of what decisions they may face because of the drought. Click on the "play" button in the video box below.
Day referenced in his video wrap the more than $400 million dollars that the 2012 drought has directly cost mostly Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers- click here for more details of that research conducted by Oklahoma State University.
