The South Central region of the United States is in for warmer than normal temperatures and continuing drought according to the latest Quarterly Regional Climate Impacts and Outlook report.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, southern Kansas and southeastern Colorado have an above-average chance for higher temperatures over the next three months.
The U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook shows drought conditions easing somewhat across the northeastern half of Oklahoma, but persisting in the west, southwest, and Panhandle regions.
