Canola Tour Ready to Roll- Updated With Directions to All 13 Locations

All during the week of April 8th, the Oklahoma State Cooperative Extension Service will be putting on Winter Canola Field Tours at 13 locations across the state. There will be three stops per day Monday through Thursday, with a final stop planned on Friday April 12 in northeast Oklahoma in Ottawa County.
Here is latest information on all thirteen stops- with directions to where each plot is located.
April 8, at 10 a.m.in Jackson County, go six miles west of Altus on HW62, turn south, plot is located on east side of road.
At 2 p.m., in Kiowa county, from the flashing light at the intersection of HW9 and 44, west of Hobart, go one half mile south.
At 5 p.m., in Washita County, from the courthouse in Cordell, go one mile west, one mile north, then one mile east on north side of road.
April 9, at 10 a.m., in Cotton County, from I44, exit 20, go two and a half miles west, then four and three quarters miles south on HW 277/281. Plot is located on east side of road.
At 3 p.m., in Caddo County, at the OSU Caddo County Research Station near Ft. Cobb, the plots are on the southwest side of lake dam.
At 6:30 p.m., in Canadian County, from I40, exit 130 (Banner Road), go one half mile south, then two and a half miles west on north side of road.
April 10, at 10 a.m., in Grant County, from HW 64 and 132 east of Nash, go four miles south on HW132, then one half mile west north side of road.
At 2 p.m., in Garfield County, at the OSU North Central Research Station, one mile west of Lahoma off HW 412.
At 5 p.m., in Noble County, from Perry go about six miles east on HW 64, one mile north on CR 170 to Knob Hill.
April 11, at 10 a.m., in Alfalfa County, on north side of Helena, go one mile west on 7th St., plot on south side of road.
At 12 Noon, in Major County, from Fairview, go two miles south on HW 58 to Isabella turnoff, then four miles east on north side of road.
at 3 p.m., in Dewey County, from Hill Cafe in Seiling, go seven miles east on lndian Road.
April 12, at 10 a.m., in Ottawa County, from Miami, go east to HW 137 (CR610), then five miles north, plot on west side of road.
Presenters on the tour stops will include State Canola Specialist Josh Bushong, Brian Arnall, Tom Royer, John Damicone, Mark Gregory and Roger Gribble. Topics will include winter canola agronomy, pest management, fertility, harvest options and cultivar selection.
Dr. Ron Sholar, Oklahoma Oilseed Commission executive director, will also be a program participant.
