Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/15/2013


   

Actual Receipts: 12,261   Last Monday: 6955   Yr Ago Monday: 7667

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 2.00 lower. Steer calves 2.00-4.00 higher. Heifer calves steady to 3.00 higher. Demand moderate for feeder cattle with less demand than the previous week for the heavier weight cattle. Demand good for calves. Mid July feeling more like Mid April in Oklahoma. Heavy rains moved in from the east with up to 3 inches falling in a few spots on Sunday, many areas thru central Oklahoma seeing 1-2 inches. Temps are in the 70's and the rain continued to thru-out the day on Monday. This system continues to move off to the west giving the drought areas some much needed relief. Weigh-ups average to gaunt. This week's receipts totaled 89 percent over 600 lbs and 39 percent heifers.

Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1: Calves: 300-375 lbs 207.00-208.00;470-475 lbs 172.00-184.50; 500-550 lbs 176.00-184.60. fleshy and value added 163.00, 186.00; 550-600 lbs 156.00-173.25, lot value added 174.75; 600-700 lbs 137.00-154.85; 700-750 lbs 137.75-147.50; lot 800 lbs 132.85;Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 148.25-164.25; 700-800 lbs 143.00-151.75, fleshy 139.00-142.00; 800-900 lbs 139.00-148.50; lot fleshy 885 lbs 133.50; 900-1000 lbs 127.50-138.00; 1015-1050 lbs 128.00-130.00.

Medium and Large 1-2: Calves: 525-600 lbs 153.00-167.00; 625-700 lbs 135.00-138.00; Yearlings: 600-675 lbs 144.00-153.00; 700-800 lbs 134.00-147.00, thin fleshed 145.50-150.00; 800-850 lbs 133.00-144.50; 930-1000 lbs127.75-131.50; lot 1075 lb 122.00.
