Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/01/2013

Actual Receipts: 6900   Last Monday: 10,088   Yr Ago Monday: 1687

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers are trading 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves not well tested in early rounds. Quality plain to average. Cooler temperatures and a few chances for rain are in the forecast for the week. Supply included 87 percent over 600 lbs. and 44 percent heifers.

Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1: Calves: pkg 450 lbs 174.00; 525-540 lbs 163.00-175.50; 550-600 lbs 154.50-160.50, thin fleshed 170.50; 600-700 lbs 138.50-147.25; 700 lbs 136.50; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 154.00-161.00; 650-700 lbs 143.50-154.00; 700-800 lbs 139.75-149.25; 800-900 lbs 135.00-146.75, lot fleshy 850 lb 133.75; 900-1000 lbs 122.50-131.00; load 1060 lbs 120.50.
