Animal Science Department Head Dr. Clint Rusk Celebrates One Year at Oklahoma State University

Dr. Clint Rusk, the head of the Animal Science Department at Oklahoma State University, is celebrating his one year anniversary at OSU today, Monday, July 29, 2013. Dr. Rusk came to OSU from South Dakota State University and leads the largest single department on the campus in Stillwater.
Farm Director Ron Hays caught up with Dr. Rusk during the 61st Annual Meeting of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association in Midwest City. Click on the LISTEN BAR below to hear our conversation with Dr. Rusk from Friday afternoon during the highly successful OSU-OCA Cattlemen's College.
Hays and Rusk talked about the academics of the department- including the fact that Animal Science is expecting just over 900 undergraduate students this fall from forty one states and three foreign countries. Dr. Rusk also talked about the relationships he has been building this year with alums and groups that support the Animal Science Department like the OCA.
He also highlighted some of the fresh faces that are now seen in the faculty lineup on the campus in Stillwater.
