Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs and heifer calves under 450 lbs steady, steers 550 to 700 lbs and heifers 450 to 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, with 650 to 700 lb steers 2.00 to 4.00 higher, heavier weight yearlings steady. Demand moderate to good, supply light. Heavy rainfall the last three days has curtailed the receipts. Several roads north and east of JRS have been closed due to the high water. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers, 42 percent heifers, 07 percent bulls, with 65 percent over 600 lbs.
